Check-In Information for Your Kitty and Frequently Asked Questions: Abbeyvale Boarding Cattery, Llanilo
Tips for a Successful Check-In
To create a stress-free experience for your cat during check-in, please take note of the following steps:
Cat Carrier:
For the safety of your cat and others, all guests must check in and out in an escape-proof clean cat carrier.
By Prior Arrangement Only:
Check-in/out times are by prior arrangement only. We value your cat's comfort and safety, and by arranging specific times, we can ensure we have time to have a good discussion about your cat and get to know them while you are there, ensuring a calm and stress-free hand-over.
Prepare Kitty's Things:
Pack your cat's little bag with their bedding, toys, and food (if you prefer they stay on the same diet at home or have special requirements). Familiar scents will comfort them in the new environment so that you may include a small item of your clothing.
Vaccination Certificate:
Don't forget to retrieve your cat's vaccination certificate from your paperwork drawer. It is a condition of entry to our cattery.
Create a Checklist:
Make a list outlining your cat's habits, dietary and medication needs, and vet and secondary contact details. We appreciate lists, as they help us cater to your cat's specific requirements during their stay and give us a baseline for behaviours to better spot if something is out of character for them during their stay.
Give Kitty a Treat:
Give your fur baby a little treat and gently place them in their carrier, ready for departure.
Positive Send-Off:
Before you set off on your own adventure, take a moment to settle your cat in and give them one last cuddle and kiss. This positive association will help them transition smoothly into cattery life.
